33 days until Our BIG Day!!

Ahhhhh! 33 days! I am so excited and ready to be married to my sweet Trey Matthew Nolan. I just had to get that out there, now we can move on the my blog about running!

I could not say it better myself. With nursing school and wedding planning it is hard to keep calm. My goodness! I have a race Saturday with my brother, Reace. It is for the Make A Wish Foundation and I couldn't be more excited. :)

When I first started to run again I tried the couch to 5K training plan. I really enjoyed it but about half way through I would always quit. I knew in my heart I could do it! I would say to myself "Bailey, you ran cross country at one point in your life, you can do this!". I know that I mentioned this before but it is all in your head. How many times have I started running and two minutes in I say to myself, "Ugh I am already dying!" A LOT! I was WRONG-O! Don't get me wrong I still think that sometimes but I can change my attitude real fast and it can become a beautiful run. I spent a lot of my time with the Lord during my runs, and I love it! Just being in his presence and inviting him in on my run makes the run amazing! He has a great way showing me beauty and I adore that precious time. His breath fills my lungs and he carries me to the end. You are much stronger than you think and when you starting running in the Lord's presence all things are possible!

I must go on!

I don't know why but I have been in a "slump" for a week or so. I wanna eat sweets and I do not care about the portion size!! Well, I woke up today and I feel that slump is gone! Praise the Lord! I started running about 3 months ago and I looooove it! New found passion that I never believed I could do! I ran my first 5K last weekend! I finished without walking and under 36 minutes (which was a personal goal).
I started training with my brother for the next 5K which is in two weeks. One thing I have learned through the new journey in running is that 90% of it is all in your head! Attitude equals everything. I am new to blogging and this may be short but I am going to try and continue to do this every week (maybe more often if you are lucky).

Come join the run,
Bailey :)
